Kenya enjoys a tropical climate. The long rains occur from April to June and short rains from October to December.
Mount Kenya can be hiked all year around as even during the long Rains, there is a good portion of sunshine. Tackling Batian and Nelion Peaks is from June – August on the North Facing side [normal route] and from the South east side is in condition from November – February.
The main trekking seasons on Kilimanjaro are; January to mid-March and June to October. Because they are the two (2) dry seasons. Although it can be hiked all year round.
It is impressive that you obtain a Yellow Fever vaccination card prior on your arrival as Kenya falls into a Yellow Fever region. Also take high precautions against Malaria.
